Puleo claims Main Event 8 in New York

Chuck Puleo returned to winning ways in Brooklyn, New York on Sunday evening as he claimed CDC Main Event no.8.

Puleo enjoyed a convincing 6-1 victory over Darin Young in the final as he capped off a delightful day as he keeps his hopes alive of capturing the USA spot at the William Hill World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace in December.

Puleo was successful at Main Event no.2 on the opening weekend of the CDC Main Event Tour, and he took full advantage of Leonard Gates not attending this weekends events as he climbs to no.3 in the CDC order of merit, and second place in the US oom.

Jim Long leads the way in the Canadian listings for the qualification spot for Alexandra Palace coincidentally.

En route to securing the title, Puleo saw off Edward Serenson (5-0), Shawn Patrick (5-0), Michael Burns (5-4), David Fatum (6-5) & Jim Long (6-3) before that emphatic victory over the CDC no.1 Darin Young.

Puleo’s finest display was arguably his 6-3 success over Jim Long in the SF’s, Puleo averaged 95 in that one, and you’d say that he had to. As Long has been on-song over the course of the weekend, and he averaged 88 himself.
