Gary Anderson confirmed his place in the grand final of theLadbrokesWorld series of darts finals in Glasgow as the Scot defeated James Wade 11-5 in the Semi-Finals on Sunday evening at the Braehead Arena. The Scot raced into a 3-0 lead in the opening session which included a 114 finish. Wade did fire in a 14-dart leg as he reduced the deficit to 3-1, but it was Anderson who went in at the first break 4-1 to the good as he provided a 14-darter as he picked out D6. Anderson came out after the break in the same vein as pre-break as he moved into a 5-2 lead after producing a 13-darter along the way as he picked out D18. Anderson looked to move 6-2 ahead, but he missed five darts for the leg and in stepped Wade to take advantage as he reduced the deficit to 5-3 whilst averaging just 87. Wade carried on grind out the comeback as he took out 82 to break Anderson’s throw and get the scoreline to 5-4 in typical James Wade fashion as he averaged just 87 at that point but still managing to grind legs out. Anderson managed to cling on to his lead moving into the second break as he broke Wade straight back as he took out 42 to move into the break 6-4 to the good. The pair continued to hold their own throws firmly, but time was running out slowly for Wade as Anderson found himself 8-5 ahead and just three legs away. The Scot managed to extend his lead to 9-5 as Wade missed a dart at tops to hold throw and it seemed to be the beginning of the end for Wade as Anderson won the next two legs as he enjoyed an 11-5 victory.
